No Water for Nemo

My school has this quarterly optional competition called the 24 hour challenge. Students have to create artwork (an animation, illustration, graphic design work, sculpture, etc.) based on a common theme within 24 hours, and you have to create it on campus. The theme this quarter was Forgotten Heroes from old early 20th century comics.
Everyone was assigned a character at sign-up. Winner gets a certificate (woopee), some little prizes, and genuine artwork from some of the instructors. Not sure I really care for any of those, but I think it would be pretty cool to get some artwork by my animation teacher. You might have seen his stuff: this Guy-->[link]

I got Winsor McCay's Little Nemo. I entered into the Illustration category because I don't consider myself proficient enough with animation yet ...and no one asked me to be part of their group :(
So, 19 hours and several cokes later, I finished my four illustrations. The minimum for illustarion was 3 but I didn't want to put more than one image on the last page.
We had to have them printed and framed by end of it all too. These are all originally 16"x20," 4800px X 6000px files (Yeeaah, the computer I was using was not happy with me). Thank goodness for money-grubbing big 24hr businesses like Kinkos and Wal-mart.

Ugh, My neck and shoulder and wrist are killing me. My neck from sleeping in a lounge chair for 2hrs and My shoulder and wrist from using the cintiq for several hours straight. It's a wonder i haven't developed Carpal Tunnel syndrome from this school yet.

I want to say I'll never do it again BUT... I probably will
